Terms of Service
Last updated: August 18, 2026
These terms govern use of LearnEra Academy. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you're creating an account on behalf of a tutoring business or institute, you're agreeing on that organization's behalf as well as your own.
What LearnEra Academy is
LearnEra Academy is a platform tutors and coaching institutes use to run live classes, manage students and staff, assign and grade homework and tests, track fees, and communicate with parents. Each tutor or institute operates their own independent workspace on the platform; LearnEra Academy provides the infrastructure, not the tuition itself.
Accounts and roles
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential. Teachers, institute administrators, and staff accounts are required to enable multi-factor authentication before they can use the platform, given the sensitivity of the data those roles can access.
A workspace owner (an independent tutor, or an institute administrator) is responsible for the accounts they invite into their workspace — students, guardians, teachers, and staff — and for obtaining any consent required to add a minor's data to the platform.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for anything unlawful, or to harass, abuse, or endanger another user, particularly a minor.
- Attempt to access another workspace's data, or circumvent the tenant isolation the platform enforces.
- Upload content you don't have the right to share, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
- Use exam-integrity signals, class recordings, or messaging features to surveil a user beyond the platform's stated academic purpose.
- Interfere with the platform's operation, including attempting to probe, scan, or overload its infrastructure.
Content and ownership
You retain ownership of the content you upload — course materials, questions, recordings, submitted homework. You grant LearnEra Academy the license needed to store, process, and display that content back to the people you've shared it with inside the platform (your students, their guardians, your staff), and — where a workspace has enabled it — to ground AI features in that same content.
AI features
Optional AI features (exam-draft generation, grading assistance, the student AI tutor) are available only to workspaces that have configured an AI provider, and are clearly labelled as AI-assisted output. A teacher's own review and approval is what turns an AI suggestion into a real grade or published exam — the platform never applies an AI output automatically. The student tutor answers only from that workspace's own recorded class content, and says so plainly when no such grounding exists rather than answering from general knowledge.
Payments and fees
Where a workspace uses LearnEra Academy's billing tools, invoices and payment collection are between the workspace and its own students/guardians; LearnEra Academy facilitates that transaction (including, for marketplace listings, a platform commission disclosed at checkout) but is not the merchant of record for tuition fees themselves. Online payments are processed by our payment gateway partner under its own terms.
Subscription fees for using the platform itself (where applicable to a workspace's plan) are billed on the cycle stated at signup and are non-refundable except as required by law.
Termination
You can stop using LearnEra Academy at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, particularly around the safety of minors on the platform, unlawful use, or attempts to breach tenant isolation. Where reasonably possible, we'll give notice and a chance to export data first.
Disclaimers and liability
LearnEra Academy is provided "as is." We work to keep the platform reliable and secure but don't guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by law, LearnEra Academy's liability for any claim relating to the platform is limited to the fees paid to LearnEra Academy (not fees paid to a tutor/institute for tuition) in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes to these terms
If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify workspace owners directly. Continued use of the platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
